Cheshire First Release
Weetwood have many years experience in using malted barley in brewing their ales. Now they are releasing their first, and Cheshire's first, single malt whisky - The Cheshire.
A creamy new make spirit is distilled from English malted barley in small batches, which has then been laid down for at least three years. Using smaller STR American oak quarter casks, provides more flavour uptake than standard cask sizes, in shorter time frames.
This First Release is finished off in European oak to add depth of flavour. Bottled free from chill filtration, gives a natural colour at 46% abv.
